We asked around for what a good "local" place to eat would be and heard about La Perlita. I think it was a tourist trap because it was pretty expensive! We did hear that they often have different prices for locals and tourists. However, our taxi driver there spoke no English so I got to be the translator for the whole ride and that was fun for me. The food was also very good and fresh. I loved how the chips came with pico de gallo and guacamole everywhere in Cozumel. I had sopa de mariscos - and i found out anything that is general "seafood" soup has a lot of tentacles in it. Mom's meal of shrimp shish kabob was deemed to be the best out of everything we ate.
