Fado
Last night we tried to eat at Cellar 56, but they were booked...booo... so we ended up eating at Fado. I had the quesadillas. They were good, but I felt so unhealthy afterwards.

Organics To Go Spaghetti Marinara
So this meal was $5.99, one of the cheapest options at the school organic place. It was pretty darn delicious. I have class from 1-3 and 5-7 so depending on my hunger level I may be getting an early dinner from there at around 4:30 too. I have to get home and get ready to watch the Bachelor tonight (!!!) so no time for long dinner preparations after class.

Cafe Nineteen
Last night Cassandra, Whitney, and I used a Scoutmob at Cafe Nineteen. I had the chicken salad on a croissant with chips. It was a very unique chicken salad with larger pieces of chicken and less of a mayonnaise taste. I really liked it! http://cafenineteen.com/

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
This week I am celebrating the one year anniversary of my food blog. I posted the original idea on January 19, 2010, and the posts started about a week later.
Thank you to all my faithful viewers!
Burger King Veggie Burger
So the clinic I work at sometimes is in somewhat of a food desert. It's hard to pick where to eat lunch. I usually eat chinese but yesterday decided to try a new Burger King. I got their veggie burger and was so pleasantly surprised that it was good! They use Morningstar patties and put all the same toppings as a Whopper. I really wish McDonalds did this because I like their fries/options of fruit and yogurt better than BK.

Organics To Go
The new organic cafe opened at school today. Ordering was a bit chaotic. Apparently if you order a sandwich you have to get one of their premade ones in the freezer. I looked at them and the avocado had already browned in some so I assume they were mushy.
After some confusion and them not having the Cali Veggie pre-made, I got my sandwich freshly made. It was delicious as was the vegetable barley soup. Although it was so good, it was Expensive! Almost twice as what the old school sub shop was. They also have pasta, pizza, salads and quesadillas which I know I will be tempted to try, but organic really doesn't come cheap!
Asparagus Pasta
So yesterday when I went to Trader Joes I had the idea to actually start making some of the recipes from my 5 ingredient vegetarian cookbook. Remember, I hate to cook! So I have to stay simple. Last night I made the pasta with asparagus which was about as simple as you can get. I burnt the asparagus about black, but it tasted pretty good anyways, just a little crispy. Other recipes on my list for the week include ricotta and avocado tacos, black bean quesadillas, and broccoli and tofu in peanut sauce. All from fresh ingredients. I am trying (trying hard!) to get away from my all frozen and take out food existence.

New McDonalds Milkshake
Apparently McDonalds has gone the way of Hardees and Chickfila and made their milkshakes "fancy". I miss the old ones. This picture is from my traditional "driving back to Atlanta" Mcdonalds stop. I got a chicken nugget combo instead of a kids meal and it was wayyy too much food. It also made me go over my calories for the day on MyFitnessPal by almost twice. No more McDonalds for me!
Salem Street Pub
The Salem Street Pub is in Apex on Salem St. Their fry sauce is THE BEST - ask for it special. I got a rice and black bean burger American style and a house salad with ranch instead of fries. I dipped my burger in the fry sauce. http://salemstreetpub.com/

Pei Wei
Tonight I met Kelly at Pei Wei for dinner. On the way I noticed there is an AT&T store next door, so I also got my new iphone 4! At Pei Wei I ordered the Pad Thai. Everything labeled as spicy there is REALLY spicy! Other than that, it was very good. This picture was taken with my iphone and I'm happy about how good the camera is. I was planning to drive back to Atlanta tomorrow, but due to icy conditions on the road and my classes being canceled- now I'm not going back until Sunday.

La Perlita
We asked around for what a good "local" place to eat would be and heard about La Perlita. I think it was a tourist trap because it was pretty expensive! We did hear that they often have different prices for locals and tourists. However, our taxi driver there spoke no English so I got to be the translator for the whole ride and that was fun for me. The food was also very good and fresh. I loved how the chips came with pico de gallo and guacamole everywhere in Cozumel. I had sopa de mariscos - and i found out anything that is general "seafood" soup has a lot of tentacles in it. Mom's meal of shrimp shish kabob was deemed to be the best out of everything we ate.
